Motorola plans to strengthen broadband facilities in Taiwan

Motorola plans to revamp broadband product development in its ODM center in Taiwan, according to sources. The center aims to focus on development of cable and set-top box (STB) equipment for the large market of Asia Pacific. The sources indicated that employees in its product development team are likely to increase by 50% from its current 100 workers. Employee head count of the entire center is currently about 1,000.
