IRC develops thin film attenuators
Jun 15, 2004
TT electronics IRC Advanced Film Division has developed a series of thin film surface mount attenuators capable of high frequency performance in a variety of wireless applications. For precision tolerances and environmental stability unparalleled in the industry, IRC uses its proprietary TaNFilm technology, a unique tantalum nitride film process. The PFC A1206 attenuator is available in custom resistances for wireless applications such as satellite, radar and microwave data links. The highly stable TaNFilm material makes these attenuators ideal for use in high reliability markets such as military and avionics. “The surface mount capability of this chip makes it ideal for electronic designers looking for a small yet highly effective attenuator,” explained Jerry Seams, IRC Applications Manager. “The combination of the ultra-reliable TaNFilm technology joined with superior high frequency electrical characteristics, ideally positions these attenuators for almost any microwave circuit design.”
