Northrop Grumann awards LaBarge $1 million contract

LaBarge, Inc. has been awarded contracts valued in excess of $1.0 million by Northrop Grumman Corp.'s Defensive Systems Division to build electronic equipment for the AN/AAQ-24(V) NEMESIS Directional Infrared Countermeasure (DIRCM) system. Under the agreements, LaBarge will manufacture attitude reference units for the system. The Company anticipates additional orders on this program. The AN/AAQ-24(V) NEMESIS system is the only DIRCM system in production today that will protect aircraft from modern infrared guided missiles. AAQ-24(V) NEMESIS is a modular system comprised of a family of proven components that can be mixed and matched (based on specific platform, mission and budget requirements) to protect a wide range of large and small aircraft, both rotary and fixed wing. LaBarge is performing the work at its Tulsa, Okla., facility. Production is expected to continue through September 2004. LaBarge is a Northrop Grumman Preferred Supplier.
