Unitech Electronics expects revenue contribution from PDAs to double this month

Taiwan-based Unitech Electronics predicts that revenue contributions from PDAs will grow to NT$200 million this month, up from monthly NT$100 million for the first five months of this year, according to company chairman KC Yeh. The company plans to focus on PDAs because of higher gross margins, Yeh said. He forecasts that the segment will contribute NT$1.5 billion to revenues this year. Gross margins for PDA production runs at around 20-30% for the company, compared to 6% margins for other IT products, sources suggested. Source: www.digitimes.com
