Foxconn, Lenovo vying for stake in IIPC

China-based Lenovo (formerly the Legend Group) and Taiwan-based Foxconn Electronics (the registered trade name of Hon Hai Precision Industry) are competing to buy a major stake in PC maker International Information Products Company (IIPC), an IBM and China-based Great Wall Computer joint venture, according to sources familiar with the deal.
