Popkin expands European and Asian presence

Emergence of single European market and Asian growth present opportunities for system architecture suppliersEnterprise architecture and modelling tools developer Popkin Software has announced it has strengthened its sales and support in Europe and Asia Pacific for System Architect, a multi-user, software tool set used by organisations to align business goals and processes to underlying information technology (IT). A wholly owned subsidiary called Popkin Software & Systems BV has been opened in De Meern, The Netherlands, to handle Popkin's products in Benelux and parts of Scandinavia. To this end, Popkin acquired the portfolio of RiTS, a European modelling consultancy and Popkin reseller since 1989. "With the emergence of a single European business community, we have seen a rise in corporate-level enterprise architecture and modelling programs involving offices in multiple countries," said Popkin. "Organisations are demanding sales and service that can span these national boundaries. This new, centrally located product and support centre enables us be more agile in working with our customers to deliver product sales, technical support, consulting or training." To increase its Asia-Pacific presence, Popkin has signed a new licensing agreement with Prologic, a prime distributor in Australia for over 10 years, by which Prologic will provide product sales, support, consulting and training services under the name Popkin Pacific.
