Two major Motorola handset PCB suppliers in Taiwan expect to see continued shipment growth in AugustUnitech Printed Circuit Board shipped a total of 2.9 million handset PCBs in July, of which 1.16 million units, or 40%, were shipped to Motorola. The company expects to ship 3.2 million to 3.5 million PCBs this month and targets shipping 10 million PCBs in the third quarter. Unitech also supplies handset PCBs for Sony Ericsson and Kyocera, in which the shipment ratio take up 35% and 25%, respectively.Wus Printed Circuit Board, which depends on Motorola for almost all of its handset PCB shipments, shipped 2.2 million PCBs last month, up more than 37% from June. The company estimated that shipments will grow to 2.5 million units in August.According to International Date Corporation (IDC), Motorola shipped 15.8 million handsets in the second quarter of this year.
