Solectron announce pricing of common stock offering

Solectron Corporation (NYSE:SLR ) announced that it has priced an offering of approximately 17.1 million shares of common stock at a price to the public of $4.85 per share (excluding underwriting discounts and commissions) pursuant to Solectron's effective shelf registration statement. All of the shares are being offered by Solectron, which expects the shares to be issued May 11, 2004. Solectron anticipates using the net proceeds from this offering to pay the cash portion of the consideration offered in its early settlement offer to holders of Solectron's 7.25 percent Adjustable Conversion-Rate Equity Security Units, which expired at midnight May 5, 2004.
