FocalSpot announces new combo x-ray & rework/repair system

FocalSpot, Inc., a provider of inspection and rework/repair solutions and services, has announced that they are offering their new x-ray system, the FSX-080 Verifier and the RD-500SH rework system as a combination package. The RD-500SH is a semi-automated part removal, placement and reflow rework station, designed for lead-free or standard eutectic solders and capable of reworking the toughest PCB/SMD applications, including Land Grid Arrays, Ceramic BGA, Column Grid Array and more. The Verifier is a multipurpose low-cost x-ray solder quality verification tool with an extremely small footprint of only 30" x 32" and a perfect mate to the RD-500SH. Both systems have exceptionally easy to learn and use software and are capable of handling printed circuit boards up to 16" x 18" in size. "During the course of our sixteen years‚ experience in the fields of x-ray and rework, we have heard repeatedly the need for low-cost complementary solutions of this type.
