Nordson acquires W. Puffe Technologie

Nordson Corporation (Nasdaq: NDSN) has purchased the assets of W. Puffe Technologie, a manufacturer of hot melt adhesive dispensing systems for the textile, aerospace, life science, automotive, construction and baby diaper industries. Headquartered near Cologne, Germany, the 22-year-old company has annual sales of $6 million. Terms of the purchase were not announced. "The addition of W. Puffe expands our existing technology base in adhesive dispensing systems while providing access to new European markets," stated Edward P. Campbell, Nordson chairman and chief executive officer. "In addition, Nordson's worldwide marketing network will give the W. Puffe product line greatly expanded distribution."
