MIMOT introduces MIMTRACE

MIMOT, a global leader in flexible SMT placement equipment, has introduced MIMTRACE, its new traceability software module, to help electronics manufacturers meet new traceability requirements. MIMTRACE traces all details of the placement process, including Job, Lot, Panel, Board, and placed component. There are 24 data levels stored for each component placed. Search functions help track each of these 24 data levels whenever needed in the future. The complete module incorporates the elements of MIMRUEST, MIMJOB and MIMTRACE, which together support full traceability down to the component wreath (single spool). Every component wreath is labeled with a barcode. Newly-delivered components are processed in MIMRUEST and receive a barcode label including identification number, number of components, supplier or manufacturer, delivery date, charge number and a comment assigned. This information can be read back when needed. The added dimension of traceability provided by the MIMTRACE module helps electronics manufacturers maintain a higher level of product responsibility while boosting quality and reliability.
