Teradyne establishes university scholarship program in China

Teradyne, Inc. (NYSE:TER) announced the formation of several scholarship programs at premier universities in China. Engineering and science related majors attending Beijing University and Tsinghua University will benefit from the newly established Teradyne Scholarship Program. Teradyne is providing multiple scholarships at each school with university faculty selecting final award recipients. Scholarship recipients are determined by academic excellence. Teradyne's Scholarship program will be expanded to include other key universities in China and plans are underway to establish an industrial training program for graduating students. In addition to the scholarship program, Teradyne has been invited by the universities to host 'Testing Technology' lectures. "Teradyne has a long standing commitment of contributing to higher education," said John Casey, Senior Vice President, Teradyne. "The Company sponsors several scholarship programs and this recent addition of the program in China is a testament to the important role of education in our corporate culture. The best foundation for an individual, business and industry to grow is through education.
