Aaeon lands US medical equipment order for embedded single-board computers

Industrial PC (IPC) maker Aaeon Technology yesterday announced it has secured a US$6.6 million (about NT$220 million) order for embedded single-board computers from a US medical equipment customer.Shipments for the order are slated for May through December.Having started negotiating the deal at the end of last year, Aaeon did not include the sales in its 2004 revenue forecast of NT$1.8 billion. Conservatively, the company does not plan to raise its revenue forecast.With orders for HMI (human-machine interface) computers from European clients, Aaeon expects systems product revenues of NT$360 million this year.Source: DigiTimes
