Mania stand review – booth 2213

Feb 25, 2004

As I have mentioned before, Mania stands look like Mania stands now, and it was no problem finding them at the front of the PCB hall, sporting more than one "sold to" signs.

I was greeted on the stand by Stuart Hayton, VP of Sales and Marketing for Mania, who was keen to share with me the continuing success of the company and its international sales team.

On the stand Mania are exhibiting:

Flying Probe - Speedy 580- Excellent Price/Performance Ratio, Improved Accuracy, High Test Speed - Mania’s Speedy 580 is one of the most efficient in terms of return on investment. Considering that this machine is, in many cases, able to manage 80% of customer’s production, it can offer a very quick return on investment.

The machine on display has been sold to Circuit Reproduction.

Plotting - SilverWriter Eagle - Mania claim the highest resolution available - 40,000 dpi. The Eagle is the top of the range and offer uncompromising speed and accuracy.

The machine on display has been sold to Motorola.

AOI - Argos 850 - Argos utilizes Mania’s fundamental philosophy of pixel-to-pixel CAD reference, the absolute inspection with no limitations in regard to board design and image complexity. In parallel it performs an Error Measurement Verification (EMV) on every discrepancy, which verifies according to the set of quality control rules.

The machine on display has been sold to Circuit Science

DD Micro 2000 - the latest in Mania’s line of double density grid testers.

The machine on display was sold today to Electropac, Canada.

Mania are working hard on developing machines that suit the needs of each region, they are also working hard on sales and making a business that suits the current market conditions.

They were also pleased to announce the sale of their first six spindle drilling machine into the USA, a Micronic 86, which was purchased by PCT of Florida.

Drilling - Micronic 86 (not on display) - This comes in two models, the entry-level classic and the high-end infinity. This six spindle drill is claimed to be the fastest and most accurate available. This machine is very successful in Asia and orders taken in 2003 attract a 2-5year warranty depending on model.
