Seica looks to the West
Feb 04, 2004
Seica Inc. has announced it is to open of a sales and support office in Santa Clara, California. Having set up an office near Boston in 2003 to serve the East coast of North America, the new West coast office will provide local support for new and existing customers, and have sales and demonstration capabilities for the company's S24 Backplane, S40 Pilot, ICT and Functional test products.Dave Sigillo, General Manager for Seica's US operation, commented: "Seica has made a great contribution to the advancement of test, yet few people knew about us because our products were branded by other companies. Now we are getting recognition in our own right, and this recognition has driven us to open operations around the world - even in geographies that other suppliers now find unfashionable. It is a fantastic position for us to be in and an exciting time for the company".Seica was the first European company to develop and manufacture a flying probe tester for loaded boards, a platform that has been sold globally by Teradyne (and previously by GenRad). Seica will re-launch its web site (www.seica.com) in February. Far more than an improved design, the site contains a vastly improved product information section and customer support options.Source: PCBnewsline
