IRC introduces Chromaxx thin film resistors
Feb 06, 2004
In response to demands from design engineers for increased resistance values in smaller packages, resistor manufacturer TT electronics IRC recently introduced its Chromaxx Series, chromium silicon oxide resistors with resistance values up to 15MΩ for medical and instrumentation applications. IRC’s Chromaxx thin film resistors were developed to offer enhanced performance with sheet resistivity of 1,000 ohms/square in a wide range of small packages. Chromaxx features high resistance, ideal for high value voltage dividers, chips and networks for high input impedance instrumentation designs and medical implantables."Integrating Chromaxx technology into battery management applications enables design engineers to extend both the performance and the life of their battery powered devices," explained Jerry Seams, applications manager for the TT electronics IRC Advanced Film Division. "This new Chromaxx technology delivers the absolute reliability and superior resistor performance necessary for modern medical applications such as implantable medical devices and precision instrumentation equipment."
