Lauterbach presents tools at Embedded World 2004 in Nuremberg
Jan 21, 2004
Lauterbach has announced it will be demonstrating tools for the MPC8560, an integrated communications processor from the PowerQUICCIII family and for the automotive controller MPC5554 among other products at the Embedded World 2004. The JTAG debuggers are based on the PowerDebug high-end development tool from the TRACE32 family and include the PowerView high-level language IDE. A flash programming utility is also integrated. The debuggers can load code into the target memory at a transfer rate of 1.3 Mbyte/s via the JTAG interface or at even higher speeds if the Ethernet connection is used.A equivalent NEXUS tool, based on the PowerTrace, will follow in March 2004 for the Nexus interface on MPC5554. This will provide program and data trace for Nexus class 3, run time and performance analysis and extended trigger options. To provide additional debug information on the MPC8560 the compact high-speed analyzer, PowerIntegrator, will sample up to 204 channels at sampling rates of up to 500 MHz. This enables the DRAM busses to be analyzed and high-level language information to be listed as well as the disassembled program code, and additionally allows I/O signals to be shown time-correlated in the form of a timing or protocol diagram.Source: PCBnewsline
