Jan 27, 2004
The North American Computer Products group of Arrow Electronics (NYSE:ARW) announced today that Michael Haley has been named vice president of the SBM Division, one of the largest value-added distributors of HP enterprise products and integration services. Haley will take over at the helm of the division for Charlie McPherson, who has led the division as vice president of sales and marketing since Arrow's acquisition of SBM in 1997. McPherson will continue to lead marketing and product management initiatives for the SBM Division. Haley, who has been with Arrow since 2000, was most recently in a strategic customer relations role as vice president of account development for Arrow Enterprise Computing Solutions. During that time, Haley also worked closely with the SBM Division on HP sales and partner relationships. "Michael has solid relationships with all of Arrow's enterprise computing groups, which is a core attribute for this new leadership role," said Joe Burke, vice president and general manager, Enterprise Computing Solutions. "Michael is well known and highly respected by those of us at HP. His sharp focus on strategic account development and seemingly boundless energy are the perfect combination in his enhanced role with Arrow," said Dan Vertrees, vice president and general manager for HP Americas enterprise partners. "It's a win-win for us because we are also extremely pleased to continue working with Charlie in his new capacity at Arrow."Source: PCBnewsline
