New feeder from MYDATA

At Productronica 2003, MYDATA presented its fast-loading Agilis feeder for 12 and 16mm tapes and new high-speed magazines. It was called revolutionary – the pen-sized Agilis feeder that could be loaded in 10 seconds or less. The market seems to agree: Since its launch one year ago, MYDATA has sold over 40,000 feeders. And now Agilis is available for 12 and 16 mm tapes, as well as the original 8 mm tape."Because Agilis can now handle all the most common tape sizes, you can use it to load up to 90% of your components in just a few seconds," says Mats Magnell, Marketing Director. "And that means some pretty significant time savings. For example, if you're loading 200 feeders per day, Agilis can save you almost three operator hours every day."Many customers have been using the Agilis system since it was launched. One prroduction engineer explains: "With an average of 5-10 different batches every day and between 10 to 200 boards per job, we really have a high-mix output. It used to take us 40 minutes to set up loaders for a new batch, but with Agilis it takes just 10 minutes" In addition to the new feeder sizes, MYDATA is introducing a new magazine with linear motion, which offer smooth, high speed and precision feeding, whether for 0201s or even smaller components, helping to eliminate pick errors.
