Arrow offers training to help resellers earn EMC accreditation
Dec 09, 2003
Enterprise Storage Solutions, a division of the North American Computer Products group of Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW), announced a series of training sessions designed to help resellers streamline the accreditation process for EMC Corp.'s Velocity Partner Program. EMC's Velocity Partner Program is a multi-tiered channel program that combines certification, training, sales, marketing and technical support with financial incentives to help resellers and integrators offer EMC Automated Networked Storage solutions to their end-user customers. To participate in the EMC Velocity Partner Program, resellers must earn EMC sales and technical accreditation. Arrow's training sessions, which began in November, can shorten the accreditation process from weeks to days. Arrow's training sessions for systems engineers span two days and are being offered at no cost to Arrow resellers interested in earning EMC certifications. The sessions, which focus on the EMC CLARiiON product line, will be conducted by EMC trainers. A total of 100 systems engineers are expected to participate in these sessions in 2003, and travel costs are fully reimbursable through Arrow-EMC co-op funds. Arrow's next SE Training Bootcamp is scheduled for Minneapolis, Minn., on December 15th and 16th. "These Training Bootcamps are a valuable resource for our reseller partners who want to position themselves to effectively market EMC storage solutions," said Lance Sedlak, director of marketing, Enterprise Storage Solutions. "They will save our reseller partners time and money in earning their accreditations for the EMC Velocity Partner Program." The Training Bootcamps follow a separate series of sales sessions held in McLean, Va., Cincinnati and Atlanta in October and early November which provided an overview of all EMC products, including software, to 60 resellers.Source: PCBnewsline
