Board train functionality from MYDATA at Productronica

Nov 11, 2003

MYDATA has announced that it is introducing board train functionality. Few manufacturers want to box themselves into producing exclusively large boards on their surface mounting machines. MYDATA has therefore introduced the board train concept for the T5 and T6 conveyors. Since the conveyors have a large PCB area, they can also fit multiple smaller boards in-line, creating "board trains". Since the number of small boards are loaded, and unloaded, at the same time, this reduces the board transfer time and improve the optimization. The result is said to be significantly better throughput for virtually any type of job.A complete line with two MY12 will be shown at Productronica. Both machines have the new T5 conveyors with the board train option and barcode reader. The line is also equipped with auto width on the conveyors. On this line MYDATA will show the possibility to run both very large boards as well as regular boards in the same machines for true flexibility. Source: PCBnewsline
