Agilent introduces industry's first WLAN test system
Nov 14, 2003
Agilent Technologies Inc. has introduced the industry's first integrated WLAN manufacturing functional test system, which claims to enable more efficient testing of WLAN 802.11a/b/g modules to help speed time to market and improve manufacturing yields. Agilent will provide a live demonstration of the new GS-8300 WLAN manufacturing functional test system at Productronica 2003 in Munich, Germany, Nov. 11-14, Booth no. 343 in Hall A1.The Agilent GS-8300 is a fully integrated manufacturing test system that enables WLAN chipset and reference design manufacturers to spend less time developing and supporting functional test systems, and more time focusing on product development. In addition, automated WLAN tests from the Agilent GS-8300 provide critical feedback on manufacturing quality to help improve yields."The Agilent GS-8300 WLAN manufacturing test system, the only integrated WLAN automated test system available today, provides a high level of repeatability and a support structure not possible with WLAN test systems created by in-house R&D organizations," said Amir Aghdaei, vice president of Agilent's Worldwide Communication Solutions Unit."
