Brockstedt implements Engenix system
Oct 29, 2003
Hans Brockstedt has announced that it has successfully implemented the Engenix system to accelerate front-end engineering, and to fully leverage existing IT investments in ERP and CAM systems. The ability to deliver quality high-tech prototype boards in a timely manner has been the main focus for Brockstedt, a Kiel, Germany based PCB producer. Brockstedt is capable of shipping a multi-layer PCB within 10-18 hours, and HDI, SBU and flex-rigid boards within 2 days. Brockstedt found the killer app from its long time technology partner Cimnet Systems. Engenix provides an extremely flexible tree-data structure, comprehensive engineering functions, robust scripting, product data management (PDM), and communication and collaboration capabilities. With its n-tier architecture and web capability, Engenix is scalable, and cost effective. "From the beginning, it was Intelligent Engineering (rules-based engineering) that made the difference and proved that Engenix® was the logical choice. It helped us increase speed, precision, replication and quality in engineering." Said Reinhard Jäger, Brockstedt’s General Manager. As a result, engineers have reduced engineering time from approximately 15 minutes to 10 minutes for relatively simple products such as normal 8 layer board. "With productive gain and product quality improvement, Brockstedt will be able to achieve our ROI objective within months," stated Jules Limpens, Managing Director of Cimnet Systems Europe. "We are proud to assist Brockstedt with securing its position as the number one producer of QTA hi-tech prototype boards in Europe."Source: PCBnewsline
