GlobalSpec, Inc has recently announced a marketing partnership with the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE), a non-profit organization dedicated to further education in engineering and engineering technology. The alliance extends to Learnon.org, the free career Web site developed by ASEE. Learnon.org is a leading online resource for continuing engineering education and distance learning. As part of the partnership, ASEE is promoting SpecSearch®, GlobalSpec's proprietary specification-based search technology, to its professors, deans of engineering and other engineering faculty members. In return, GlobalSpec will include links to the ASEE and Learnon.org Web sites within its Technical Library, providing their users easy access to the Society's community of engineering faculty members. "Engineering education is an important and relevant issue for our user population," commented Guy Maser, GlobalSpec's Vice President of Marketing. "Our alliance with ASEE gives us a way to expand upon the information that we offer, demonstrating our commitment to being an indispensable resource to the engineering community.""ASEE is excited to inform its members about the many useful applications that GlobalSpec can offer them," said Robert Black, ASEE Deputy Executive Director. "SpecSearch is a perfect example of how today's new technology is dramatically changing the way engineers do their job, and how the basics of an engineer's job are taught differently."Source: PCBnewsline
