TIGER X-Ray now offers true X-ray intensity control
Oct 13, 2003
The TIGER (FXS-160.40) X-ray system from FEINFOCUS now offers proprietary True X-Ray Intensity (TXI) Control to assist operators in identifying production anomalies with 100% consistent X-ray images. Unlike conventional techniques for maintaining image consistency that control the input level of high-voltage and X-ray tube current, TXI automatically controls the output level of X-ray intensity during the image acquisition process. This guarantees stable and permanent image quality time after time. TXI provides:- Immediate and steady X-ray intensity after auto-start- Long-term stability of X-ray intensity- Constant image contrast and brightness for recurring inspection tasksTXI ensures repeatability during automated BGA analysis routines, a capability that is of particular interest in the production environment. Additionally, TXI eliminates the need for adjustments of X-ray parameters during repeat set-ups of the same product over multiple manufacturing runs. The capability of a ‘copy exact’ process also allows settings to be duplicated from system to system worldwide. This enables the same analysis results at multiple locations, eliminates the need for repetitive set-up programming, and ensures consistent results regardless of operator experience.Designed to meet the rigorous needs of computer, automotive, telecom, military and aerospace, medical device, and information storage markets, the TIGER X-ray system offers a geometric magnification of up to 636x (total magnification up to 2800x) and a new, larger sample tray area of 24" x 24" (610mm x 610mm) to accommodate larger boards and multi-up flip chip assemblies.
