HannStar Board eyes 30% growth in notebook PCB shipments in 2008

HannStar Board expects shipments of notebook printed circuit boards (PCBs) to grow 30% to 54 million units in 2008, eyeing a 40-42% market share to remain the global number-one supplier for the segment, according to company sources.
The company disclosed that it shipped 40 million notebook PCBs in 2007, with a 40% share of the market. The 2008 projected growth for the company is higher than the projected growth of 24.73% for the notebook market for the year, the sources indicated.
