Indium Engineers gain SMTA certification

The Indium Corporation has announced that three of its Technical Support Engineers have recently attained SMTA Certification for the SMT Process. Earning the title of "Certified Process Engineer" are Karl Pfluke, Tim Jensen and David Sbiroli.According to Rod Howell, SMTA President, "The SMTA certification test will really connect the material in the student's mind and provide tangible proof of their competence."David Sbiroli has over 10 years’ experience in the area of SMT and Electronic Interconnect Materials and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering Technology. Karl Pfluke has worked in the materials industry for 9 years and has a Certification in Powder Metallurgy Technology. Tim Jensen has spent 5 years in the SMT Materials field and has a BS in Chemical Engineering.The Surface Mount Technology Association (SMTA) has recently introduced the Certification Programme, which they believe, will soon become one of the electronic assembly industry’s most respected qualifications.
