Petroferm introduces electronic vapor degreasing replacement for HCFCs, TCE, nPB
Feb 19, 2008
Petroferm Inc., Cleaning Products introduces LENIUM FEC, a replacement for hydrochlorofluorocarbons (HCFCs), trichloroethylene (TCE), methylene chloride (MeCl), perchloroethylene (PCE) and n-propyl bromide (nPB) in open-top and vacuum vapor degreasing. LENIUM FEC is a highly stable, non-flammable solvent cleaner based on hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) and methanol.
LENIUM FEC is effective in electronic cleaning applications, removing solder fluxes, pastes and ionic residues from circuit assemblies. It also effectively removes adhesives, buffing compounds, drawing oils, fluorinated fluids, greases, hydraulic oils, lapping compounds, resins, inks and silicone oils.
LENIUM FEC does not contribute to ozone depletion and its components are approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (EPAs) Significant New Alternatives Policy (SNAP) as an alternative to ozone depleting substances.
