Mouser and WJ Communications sign global catalog and internet sales channel agreement

Jan 09, 2008

Mouser Electronics, Inc., has signed a global catalog and internet sales channel partnership agreement with WJ Communications, a leading supplier of RF solutions that serve multiple markets targeting wireless communications, RFID, broadband cable, defense, and homeland security.

According to the sales channel agreement, Mouser will stock RF amplifiers, mixers, and frequency converters. WJ Communication's product line includes gain block, medium power, power, CATV, and variable gain amplifiers, as well as frequency converters, mixers and RFID products. The amplifiers are optimized for use in mobile and fixed wireless infrastructure. WJ's mixers feature high input IP3 performance for broadband communication applications and span a broad range of technologies from FETs and MMIC mixers to diode mixers. Their family of frequency converters is designed to meet the performance, functionality, and cost goals of current and next generation mobile infrastructure base stations.

"Our new partnership with Mouser Electronics will complement our existing sales channel by leveraging their strength in catalog and online sales outreach, thus expanding our presence into universities and developing opportunities early in the sales cycle," said Haresh Patel, SVP of Sales and Marketing at WJ Communications. "Engineers, academia, and students, will have access to WJ's wide product offering and 50 years' experience providing innovative RF components including amplifiers, frequency converters, and mixers."

According to Mike Scott, Mouser Vice President of Active Products, "We are pleased to add WJ Communications' prestigious brand of innovative RF products to our linecard," Scott said, "allowing us to fulfill the needs of our RF engineering customers' new design requirements."
