FCI offers full portfolio of Pin-in-Paste technology products

FCI, a leading supplier of connectors and interconnect systems, now offers a complete portfolio of Pin-in-Paste connectors. The product portfolio features some of FCI's most popular product lines including: Quickie®, DSub, Metral®, Minitek™, BergStik® and Sofix® connectors.

"Pin-in-Paste technology reduces the number of steps needed to mount a connector to the appropriate position on the board, thereby reducing the time and cost of the process," said Bavo Teunissen, global marketing communications director. "This technology also increases the quality of the connection to board and Pin-in-Paste connectors can replace either wave soldered products or press-fit products."

Pin-in-Paste processing technology enables through-mount components to be soldered using conventional reflow soldering process; eliminates the need for a separate wave soldering operation in the process flow; and requires no additional manual operation.

FCI has extensively tested the Pin-in-Paste connectors included in this portfolio and offers full application support including stencil design, paste application and board layout. The connectors in this portfolio can be used with various industrial and telecom applications.
