Stan Renals joins Cobar Europe as Operating Director, COO

Nano Hitec, a Korea-based backlight unit (BLU) specialist, will kick off mass production of LED BLUs from next month. The 12.1-inch LED BLU to be rolled out by the company, is suitable for super-slim, high-luminance notebooks, and the prism light guide panel is 0.7mm thick, almost one third the conventional CCFL type.
                                                 
This is a 30% reduction in sizes compared to the traditional BLU products manufactured in bulk and 20% in weigh. Nano Hitec is also planning to move into mass production of 13.3-inch models from March.
