Quanta looking to invest in touch panel market, reports paper

Quanta Computer is now looking to invest in the touch screen industry to secure more shipments, today's Chinese-language Apple Daily quoted industry sources as saying.
PNDs (portable navigation devices) and DVD players are two major products from Quanta that feature touch screen panel components, the paper noted, adding that Quanta is sourcing small- to medium-size LCD panels from AU Optronics (AUO) and the company is planning to enter the touch panel market by strategic investment.
Quanta commented that it has not reached any conclusion about its touch screen panel investment project, the paper reported.
