Flextronics to handle maintenance of Arima branded servers

With Arima Computer having decided to sell its server business to Flextronics, David Su, general manager of Arima recently pointed out that the maintenance service for its own-brand servers, which accounted for 40% of its total server shipments, will be handled by Flextronics in the future.
According to a previous report, the board of directors of Arima Computer passed a resolution to sell the company's notebook and server related businesses to Flextronics, the world's second largest EMS provider, during a meeting on November 12, with the transaction to be completed in the first quarter of 2008.
Flextronics did not provide any comment regarding the maintenance service report.
