Polymer Vision to start World's first mass production of flexible displays

Polymer Vision Ltd. of the Nethelands has announced that it has completed a flexible display plant in the U.K., and will start the world's first mass production at the facility. The world's first commercial product adopting a rollable display (model name Readius) comes in a similar size to a mobile phone and incorporates a 5-inch diagonal screen on the rollable side body.

The product displays black and white images and opts for electric ink technology. Polymer Vision plans to sell the displays targeting mobile handset vendors, and is also slated to launch commercial products developed by itself this month.
