ems-Alliance is a consortium of ems companies located at several parts of the world and primarily aiming to offer cost effective solutions with production locations closer to the customers needs. ems-Alliance held its bi-annual global conference at Shenzhen on the 27th and 28th Sep 2007.
"The Alliance would like to welcome Ionics EMS Inc. and Creation Technologies as its members," says Pavan Ranga, Chairman of the ems-ALLIANCE and CEO for Rangsons Electronics. "This is an important milestone that will strengthen the ems-ALLIANCE's global service offering and will bring new opportunities for all its members and their customers" he adds.
Initiated in 2001, the ems-ALLIANCE now has 5 members who form a worldwide network of independent electronic manufacturing services (EMS) companies from twelve countries around the world. The alliance members include: -- Teikon (Brazil) -- Note (Sweden, England, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland) -- Rangsons (India) -- Ionics EMS Inc. (Phillipines and China) -- Creation Technologies (Canada and USA)
Combined, these alliance members provide the resources of over 30 manufacturing facilities, 14,500 employees, 125 SMT lines and 157,000 square meters of production area.
The capabilities and focus of the members of the alliance and those of Ionics EMS Inc. and Creation Technologies were found to match well. The alliance sees a high level of competence in the areas of design and manufacturing from its new members and is proud to welcome Ionics and Creation Technologies to be a part of the alliance family.
"The ems-ALLIANCE provides unique manufacturing service offerings that partners local production expertise with global manufacturing services that focus on lowering material cost, for customers and proximity-to-market or lower-cost-region alternatives for specific products," says Arthur Tymos, President & CEO of Creation. "We are delighted to be part of the ems-ALLIANCE and look forward to working with the other members to provide the best possible value and service offerings" he states.
