Yeu Hwan eyes swing to profits on improving FPCB outlook
Dec 27, 2007
Printed circuit board (PCB) maker Yeu Hwan Technology is confident it will swing to profits in 2008 on anticipated improvements in flexible printed circuit board (FPCB) demand and increased related utilization rates, according to the company.
Despite the first quarter being the traditional slow season for FPCBs, Yeu Hwan indicated its orders would not drop below levels seen in the fourth quarter of 2007. While noting that demand for FPCBs is warming up, the company stated it is confident that its overall FPCB utilization rate will grow from a 40-50% average in 2007 to 70% in 2008, prompting the company to deliver an optimistic outlook for sales prospects in 2008.
