Japan's digital camera shipments total 11.5 Million in September

Japan's CIPA (Camera & Imaging Products Association) has reported digital camera shipments by Japanese firms (including Eastman Kodak) for September 2007.
Shipments amounted to 11.559505 million units, up 26.7% from the same period a year ago, while revenues were up 12.0% to 228.2603 billion yen (about 1.994 billion dollars). Among these, exports jumped 28.8% year-on-year to 10.522296 million units for revenues of 201.33602 billion yen ($1.76 billion), up 13.2% for the corresponding period. Shipments in Japan rose 8.5% year-on-year to 1.037209 million units resulting in an increase of 4.0% in revenues to 26.870008 billion yen (about $235 million).
