Nov 14, 2007
Nu Horizons Electronics Corp. (NASDAQ:NUHC) announced that its North American field application engineers (FAEs) participated in and completed certification on the STM32 - 32-bit Cortex Microcontroller product family from STMicroelectronics. Certification on these products was comprised of in-depth product workshops covering the Cortex-M3 core and STM32 key features, as well as technical training on topics including memory mapping, interrupt handling, power management, DMA, reset/clock control, Analog/Digital Converters, USB, and GPIO. Additional hands-on training and labs utilizing 3rd-Party software development tools and evaluation kits was also conducted which included software code fabrication and system debugging with a focus on bit-banding, interrupts, and clock generation.
John North, North American vice president of distribution at STMicroelectronics, states "having Nu Horizons' highly technical field application engineering team certified in the STM32 family enables them to strengthen their customer relationships by better facilitating the design-in and support of this cutting-edge technology. We are very pleased that Nu Horizons recognized the potential of the STM32 and excited about the potential markets and customer base that will now benefit from access to this highly desirable product."
