MSI to cut into notebook market in China next year, says paper

Micro-Star International (MSI) predicts it will to break shipments of one million notebooks in 2007 and plans to cut into the China notebook market in 2008, aiming to bring shipments up to 1.5 million, according to a Chinese-language Apply Daily report citing sources at MSI.
Since MSI is still a small notebook maker, the company will not follow the path of price competition to increase its market share, noted the paper citing Joseph Hsu, president of MSI as saying.
