Motherboard makers hold different views on 4Q outlook

While Asustek Computer is optimistic about the outlook of the motherboard market for the fourth quarter, Gigabyte Technology and Micro-Star International (MSI) have a more conservative attitude, according to the companies.
Asustek has not heard about slow demand in the market for the fourth quarter, said Jonathan Tsang, president for sales and marketing at Asustek Computer. He also added Asustek is confident it will achieve its annual shipment goal of 63 million motherboards and 15 million graphic cards in 2007.
