Foxconn reportedly to buy Amtran CBs

Today's Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) cited industry sources as saying that Foxconn Electronics (Hon Hai Precision Industry) has interest in investing in Taiwan-based display maker Amtran Technology through Amtran's recently announced NT$4 billion-worth convertible bond (CB) issue.
Amtran was cited in the paper as saying that it so far has no knowledge of any potential investment partners.
