Verdant announces first three Occam development partners
Oct 31, 2007
At the First Occam Process Developers Meeting, which took place in San Jose, California, on October 17, the first three agreements in principle, relative to development of the Occam process, were established.
Those companies expressing confidence in the technology and committing to develop the processes necessary and work with interested OEMs to produce Occam products, include: Promex Industries, a microelectronics assembly company located in Silicon Valley; Micropress, a PCB fabricator located in Sao Paulo, Brazil; and Hunter Technology Group, also located in the Silicon Valley.
"It is a great pleasure to have this expression of confidence in the Occam concept by such forward-looking companies" said Verdant Electronics' president, Joe Fjelstad. "These individuals clearly see the promise of this new family of assembly and interconnection methods for our industry in the not-too-distant future. Moreover, they are already building Occam Process demonstration products, working to qualify the technology with some of their customers who also see the advantages. Obviously, the concept is taking hold faster than anyone could have imagined when it was announced just three months ago."
