China LCD TV makers increase panel orders amid seasonality

China-based LCD TV makers have increased their orders from panel makers with panel demand from first-tier TV makers such as Konka, Hisense and Haier presently at around 100,000-200,000 units per month, said panel makers.
Panel makers pointed out that sales from the China LCD TV market will remain strong until the end of this year amid seasonality.
LCD TV shipments totaled 6.34 million units in the first half of 2007, up 65.4% sequentially, according to statistics published by China's Ministry of Information Industry (MII). The sales volume of LCD TVs in China reached 3.3 million units during the period. TV makers estimated the overall sales volume in 2007 may exceed ten million units.
