SMT Resource Group announces expansion in NC
Sep 10, 2007
SMT Resource Group LLC (SMTR), has just expanded its facility in NC to increase its machine restoration capability. Traditionally SMTR has focused on Fuji and Panasonic in the Temple Texas facility. The expansion in Wake Forest will add Siemens and Universal capability. SMTR is staffing the facility with OEM experts;
Dennis Stever, 23 year veteran of Universal Field Service Management, has been appointed Technical Center Manager for the newly expanded N.C. facility.
Also hired is Tommy Turner, a former Siemens Sr. Service and refurbishment expert, to lead the Siemens equipment restoring activities in SMTR's Wake Forest Tech Center.
Greg Frazier, former Fuji Regional Service Manager, recently the owner of his own FUJI service business, will be the Manager of SMTR newly formed Field Service Div. to service SMT equipment users on site. SMTR lead by Greg is setting up a field service organization to handle customer factory decommissions, functional restorations and equipment PM's in our customer's facilities.
The plan is to build a new facility larger on property reserved on Capital Blvd north of Raleigh, until then we do not plan to move all activities from Temple TX.
