Essemtec reports successful SMT training seminar in China

Essemtec AG, a manufacturer of surface mount technology production equipment, hosted a four-day seminar in Suzhou, China organised by SMART, its representative in China.
The Suzhou seminar, held in late August, was attended by 80 customers and covered topics across the SMT process, Essemtec equipment and real-time production. The well-attended seminar was presented by Rainer Suter, Area Sales Manager for Essemtec, and Max Hermann, Customer Support Manager of Essemtec, and was skilfully translated into Chinese by Su Zheng of SMART.
"This was a highly successful seminar and reflects our commitment to the Chinese market," said Rainer Suter. "Many companies in China are transitioning from through-hole to SMT and we feel it is extremely important to provide training for our distribution base in this region. Manufacturing in China is no longer just about high volume and speed, as demonstrated by the visitors to our booth at the Nepcon show in Shenzhen. Demand is increasingly moving towards high-flexibility, low-volume manufacturing, especially in the subcontractor sector. Our aim is to open more training and demonstration facilities to support this growth area."
Essemtec has reorganised its business in China and now has plans to expand its sales network in the region.
