Mouser Electronics expands ON Semiconductor product portfolio
Jul 19, 2007
Mouser Electronics, Inc., has announced the expansion of its portfolio of ON Semiconductor products.
The expanded linecard focuses on the manufacturer's newest power management, circuit protection, analog, logic, and discrete semiconductor products. ON Semiconductor is a global leader in power semiconductor solutions for the most critical power challenges.
According to Mike Scott, Mouser's Vice President of Active Products, the addition of ON Semiconductor's products is in keeping with the distributor's business model of offering the newest, most innovative products and the latest technologies, thus delivering a time-to-market advantage to the engineering community.
"Adding the high caliber of the newest products from ON Semiconductor is just what our design engineering customers expect from Mouser," Scott said, "and further enhances the quality of innovative products we stock."
The NLAS3799B is an ultra-low RON dual DPDT and a 0.5Ω RON analog switch designed for low operating voltage, high current speaker/microphone switching for cell phone applications. The device can switch a balanced stereo output and handle a balanced microphone/speaker/ring-tone generator in a monophone mode.
The NCS2220A is an industry-first sub-one volt, low-power dual comparator that consumes only 7.5µA per comparator of supply current. Guaranteed to operate at a low voltage of 0.85V allows this device to be used in systems that require less than 1.0V; fully operational up to 6.0V makes it convenient for both 3.0V and 5.0V systems. The comparator features no output phase inversion with overdriven inputs, rail-to-rail input and output performance, as well as internal hysteresis for clean output switching.
One of the new, industry-leading discrete semiconductors added is the NSSxxx Series of Bipolar Junction Transistors (BJTs). Delivering maximized power efficiency and longer battery life than traditional BJTs or planar MOSFETs, these surface mount devices are designed for use in low-voltage switching applications where energy is vital. Offering a high electrostatic discharge (ESD) tolerance of greater than 8,000V, these low Vce(sat) BJTs are self-protecting against unexpected power surges.
