PCB Libraries, Inc. signs on distribution channel in Italy
Jun 05, 2007
PCB Libraries, Inc., a rapidly growing CAD library management solutions provider, established its first distribution channel for its products in Italy with Cadlog S.r.l., a leading software distributor for the electronics industry in Italy.
Cadlog will provide a marketing channel, customer training, and technical support for the PCB Libraries, Inc. product line.
PCB Libraries' software is the most powerful tool a designer or engineer can use in addition to their CAD software. It creates IPC-7351-compliant component land patterns which can be exported in a CAD-neutral format or any major CAD format available. The IPC-7351 Generic Requirements for Surface Mount Design and Land Pattern Standard defines, develops and categorizes land patterns. It is published by IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries, a global trade association and standards developing organization.
The IPC-7351 LP Wizard won the 2007 DesignVision Award from IEC as the most innovative PCB design tool. The panel judged the software for its innovation, uniqueness, the outcome on the market, benefits for the customer and company's value.
The PCB Library tools are applications incorporating an algorithm developed according to specifications of the IPC-7351A standard, which allows users to quickly create and build components and pad for standardized footprint packages. "We're pleased to be working with IPC in a unified effort to provide PCB designers worldwide with access to our IPC-7351 CAD libraries and LP Software tools" said Tom Hausherr, CEO and director of technology at PCB Libraries, Inc.
