Mouser and Atmel sign distribution agreement

Mouser Electronics, Inc has announced it has signed a comprehensive distribution agreement with Atmel® Corporation to distribute the manufacturer's broad product portfolio including microcontrollers, memory, and programmable logic products.
Atmel Corporation is an industry leader in the design and manufacture of advanced semiconductors for electronic system designs that include general purpose and application-specific system level integrated chips. Mouser's initial stock includes AVR®, ARM®, 8051 and their design tools and development kits; CPLDs and SPLDs; Serial EEPROMs, DataFlash® memory, and more.

According to Mike Scott, Mouser Vice President of Active Products, the distribution agreement with Atmel capitalizes on Mouser's core competencies of fast introduction, extensive stocking, and promotion of the newest products to the design engineering community.
