Jun 14, 2007
Mentor Graphics Corporation (Nasdaq: MENT) announced that Walden C. Rhines, the company chairman and CEO, will present keynote addresses at upcoming EDA Tech Forum Events in Poland and the UK. EDA Tech Forum, a key technical and networking resource for the electronics engineering community, holds a number of one-day conferences throughout the world each year. More information and online registration for both events is available at: http://www.edatechforum.com.
Rhines will present "Changing the Design Rules," at the RBS Williams F1 Conference Centre in Wantage, UK, on June 19, 2007. The talk will address improvements in electronic design automation in the past few years which have been applied to product cost and power dissipation rather than just design productivity or cycle time. Rhines will discuss some examples and the potential to optimize the design of electronic systems. The keynote takes place at 9:45 a.m.
Rhines will also speak on "The Sociology of Design and EDA," at the InterContinental Warszawa in Warsaw, Poland, on June 21, 2007. He will discuss issues that suggest how the interaction among designers and design organizations will affect the future evolution of design methodology and EDA. The keynote is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
