DEK strengthens presence in Asia with key appointments

Jun 25, 2007

DEK has reinforced its commitment to its growing customer base in Asia by announcing two key appointments in the region. Long-serving and experienced members of the DEK team, David Hayes and Leon Lee have been promoted to Product Support Manager and Asia Product Manager respectively.

"Characterised by a rapid rate of growth and increasing opportunities for today's manufacturers, Asia is an extremely important market for DEK," explains the mass imaging leader's General Manager for Asia, Peland Koh. "Our commitment to cultivating a superior level of knowledge, experience and expertise in this region is designed to enhance the exceptional service and support that our customers here rely on. In line with our 'Expect More' philosophy, I am confident that these new appointments will play an important role in maintaining and developing the unique 'knowhow' that really makes a difference for our customers in Asia."

David Hayes has worked as part of the DEK team for 16 years, most recently supporting pre and post sales activities in Asia as Product Specialist. The extensive knowledge of the product range he gained during this time will prove extremely valuable at DEK's Shenzhen facility. In his new role of Product Support Manager, Hayes will assume responsibility for setting up a new Service Control Centre in the region. Hayes will apply his comprehensive experience and knowledge of the DEK business to assist the Regional Support Team and enhance communication with Engineering Teams in Asia and the UK.

Further strengthening DEK's presence in Asia, Leon Lee's promotion to Asia Product Manager will see him build on seven successful years at the company's Taiwan offices. In his new position, Lee will spend time at DEK's headquarters in Weymouth where he will work closely with UK Engineering Teams and Asian Sales Teams to ensure effective knowledge transfer and consistent product quality.
